Bots finally defeated?

As you may be aware, this (along with almost every forum on the internet) was plagued with spurious membership requests from automated "bots" whose only purpose is to flood forums with unwanted links to nefarious websites. Well I've updated the forum software and also added some extra security questions as part of the registration process. A month down the road it seems to be working and no bots have managed to register since the changes were implemented. All registrations have to be manually approved by a moderator, but if this keeps up I may be able to remove that restriction also. Keep fingers crossed!
